The CHTF Belt and Road Innovative Cooperation Forum: Unlimited Business Opportunities and Bright Future

Hosted by the Organizing Committee of China Hi-Tech Fair (hereinafter referred to as CHTF) and co-organized by CHTF Exchange Center and Shenzhen Huaya Regional Economic Development Service Center, and taking “Innovation in Green Economy - Linking Regional Cooperation” as the theme, The CHTF Belt and Road Innovative Cooperation Forum was held at 6/F Narcissus Hall, Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center on November 17, 2017.  

The government representatives from countries along “the Belt and Road”, representatives of countries with embassy in China, international organizations, leaders of industrial and commercial circles, representatives of associations and relevant scholars and experts gathered together at the forum to discuss “the Belt and Road” opportunities, stimulate technological innovation impetus, explore cross-border integration, promote economic and trade cooperation & exchange, and share international innovation achievements. This forum has attracted about 300 honored guests at home and abroad, including England, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Swiss, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia and Pakistan. 

On the forum, Mr. Hu Biliang, Dean of the Emerging Markets Institute of Beijing Normal University, shared the opportunities and prospects of “the Belt and Road”. In addition, multiple overseas guests also made speeches, for example, Gilles Mahieu, governor of Province du Brabant wallon in Belgium made a speech themed as “Digital du Brabant wallon Links China and European Countries”, Jean-Philippe Devaux (the deputy director of Swiss Berne Economic Promotion Bureau), Carlos Tortola (chief business consul of Spain Consulate General in Guangzhou), Mr.Steve Arrick (business consul of England Consulate General in Guangzhou), Mr. Dani Halim (vice president of RAB GLOBAL GREEN SDN BHD in Brunei), Mr. Xu Hande (vice president Asia Pacific of RAB GLOBAL GREEN SDN BHD in Brunei), and Mr. Feng Xingliang (chief representative of Beijing Office of Germany NRW Investment Promotion) have introduced their supports for “the Belt and Road” Initiative and listed multiple fields available for cooperation. In addition, Vietnam-China Economic Cooperation Park, Automobile (International) Groups, International Alliance of Industry Innovation, and the organizing committee of the forum also discussed and shared the opportunities and experience arising from “the Belt and Road” with participants. Finally, Shenzhen municipal leaders, consuls of countries with consulate in Shenzhen and enterprise senior management witnessed the signing ceremony of seven cooperation projects.
